Mingl — End-to-end product design for an activity-led social platform

What if meeting new people felt less like networking and more like just... doing something?

Mingl is a self-initiated mobile app concept exploring a simple but underserved problem: people want real-world connection, but existing platforms make it feel transactional, high-pressure, or just awkward. The idea behind Mingl is activity-led socialising - discover free, local outdoor events, filter by your interests and availability, and see how compatible you are with others attending before you even RSVP. No bios to agonise over. No cold messages. Just a reason to show up.

A product concept built to think, not just look good.

The work spans the full product design process - from research and competitor analysis through to user flows, product architecture, a UI system, and brand identity. The visual direction, typography and colour system were built from scratch to reflect the platform's tone: open, unpretentious, and community-first. Mingl is currently a work in progress and an evolving case study, with the foundations in place for a future MVP build.
